What is the ideal dosage of flagyl for trich? is Zithromax adjectives against trich?Flagyl for trichomonaisis?
If it is ONLY Trich present then the CDC recommend two options: Flagyl (metrodiazonale) any 2grams x1 dose -OR- 500 mg twice daily for 7 days.
Sometimes the clinician will also administer Zithromax to cover "other" infections which may be present at the SAME TIME and which results/test are not particular at that moment.
If the clinician suspects that CHLAMYDIA is present also, then Zithromax will be added to the regimen within addition to the Trich. It usually take 2-3 days to run the culture for Trich.
Sometimes, simply based on the prevalance of local infections the clinician will simply treat to cover those other predictable conditions also.
Chlamydia is THE MOST prevalent STD and covering for it in any male/female next to a discharge is prudent.
So, the final answer is thus: Yes Flagyl will cover trich and if your provider also used Zithromax, it sounds like they are suspicious for a concurrent chlamydia infection too.
Thanks for asking,

no zithro will not work on trich. trich is a parasite not a microbes, flagyl is drug for parasitical infections,

this website will relate you more
If you need Flagyl, your doctor will supply the correct dosage, and to my scholarship, Zithromax is not the drug for 'trich.'
Best wishes.
2 grams taken all at once is the preferred treatment for trich. partner requirements treatment as well, as this is an STD
Flagyl is for trich and no drinking alcohol next to it. The medicine does not work beside alcohol.
