My sister did while her polyps be bad, but after taking steroid sprays they shrunk down and her sense of smell returned (she also stopped the sprays.) Is it possible that you are still taking nasal sprays that are truly the raison d`¨otre of your loss of smell? Many of them have that as a side effect. If your polyps are gone but you are using sprays to hold on to them away, that very capably might be the cause. If they are not gone, they are clogging your muzzle and yes that would also be the cause. If you hold polyps, you need to attain them medically treated. (Sorry, but your question departed out a lot of those details to construct a clear answer.)

My girlfriend lost her sense of smell due caused by nasal polyps and returned 18 months following. Do have them checked out by an ENT as they can inhibit breathing.
