Yes it is call anal agenesis. It is caused by an embryological breakdown to form the normal external anal waterway but it can also effect the upper rectum as well. Treatment expected involves surgery and other reconstructive practices.
My cousin's baby be born with no anus. They used a 'bag' until an opperation could be perform to create one. She was lucky as everything inside be as it should be, it was literally basically missing the hole. She is now a completely healthy and well 11 year old.
yes ive see it in medical books, an anus is craeted and other mode such as a colostomy is used until this happens
