Has anyone hear of "buffalo ants"?

My daughter's face be swollen this morning so I took her to the doctors. He told us she'd been bitten by a buffalo ant. tried to do a rummage but came up blank. Anyone out near who could tell me more? ThanksHas anyone hear of "buffalo ants"?

I am so not sure on this one, but I saw a show on one of the Discovery channels one time more or less these ants called jack jumper, and I just wonder if this is what he intended. See the link below.
