Has anyone hear of Spina Bifida Occulta?

I am 43 and was only just told I have this. Was it other there and missed or is it something that can be cause by injury/strain?Has anyone hear of Spina Bifida Occulta?
Approx 20% of people enjoy Spina Bifida Occulta (SBO). This is where in that is a very small piece of the spine missing beside no other abnormalities. It is not as a rule detected unless through a routine x-ray or MRI for something un-related. It nearly always cause no problems, however it is suggested through research that it may produce increased back soreness.
I am a 2nd year nursing student in the UK, and enjoy a 3 yr old son originally diagnosed beside SBO, but however, actually have Occult Spinal Dysphrism (OSD) or Tethered Cord Syndrome (TCS) (has two names), as he not only have the small bony segment missing, but other problems too - detected on MRI and diagnosed by myself through medical journals, and confirmed by his consultants. This is when it is no longer call SBO but OSD or TCS. OSD is markably more rare and accounts for lone 1% of Spina Bifida's.
Spina bifida is always within you get when you are surrounded by your mother if she does not take prenatal vitamins after you are more likely to achieve spina bifida
It is a problem from birth. You are lucky because people born next to spina bifida are sometimes born with an enlarge spinal collumn and brain damage or mental retardation. The certainty that it was closed and not exposed made it much better for you. The article I found say that it is really common but can simply be found by x-ray or MRI in the rest of us. I could see how you might hold aggravated the condition with strain/injury, etc. but it is really something you be born with.
